You will learn Variations & fun combos that are based on Beginner Fundamentals. Plus learn basic dips and learn 2 extra beginners 'fundamentals' a well as new shines.
Can I Join this Level? Join this level 'any time' after completing the Beginners level. Where do I go after completing? Join in the Improvers Level course.

Salsa Belly Dance Fusion Part 1
• Saturday 12th November 2:00 – 3:30 pm
Salsa music is happy and energetic and the dance moves are fun and sexy! That’s why Victoria thought of making an explosive combination and mixed Salsa with Belly Dance! She came up with some sexy combos that can be danced to any Salsa rhythm music. In this workshop we’ll go through five combos that will keep us dancing non-stop to the Salsa beats of the pop Egyptian song Toul Omri (All my Life) by Nawal Al Zoghbi. A fun and energetic workshop that you can’t miss, and you can always use your new-learned Belly Dance moves to add an exotic flavour to your Salsa dancing!
Salsa Belly Dance Fusion Part2
• Saturday 19th November 2:00 – 3:30 pm
In this workshop there will be a review of the combos learned in Part 1, and then we’ll learn some more combos with a different flavour adding shimmies, turns and speed!!! We’ll warm up to lively Latin music and next we’ll learn the new combos while dancing to a variety of Salsa/Middle Eastern rhythms. This workshop will leave you energised and happy for the rest of the day and I can assure you that you’ll have a lot of fun!

The NZSDA is proud to announce that the 2011 World Latin Dance Cup held in Las Vegas later this year, has adapted the Amateur Rules and Guidelines document set out for the 2011 NZ Salsa Championships – to their competition! How do we know this? In the rules for the World Latin Dance Cup, under the rules for Amateurs, there is a link back to the NZ Salsa Championships website as to read thoroughly through these Rules & Guidelines.
The document wasn't just copied and pasted on their site, they are actually acknowledging the fact that it comes from the NZ Salsa Championships website! In other words The 2011 New Zealand Salsa Championships has set a World standard for Amateurs!

The NZSDA have taken the first step towards the world looking at New Zealand salsa for ideas, which in return hopefully it will create some admiration for NZ Salsa.
Seeing this gave us the organizers of the competition a huge boost and acknowledgement that we have taken the correct measures and boundaries to educate our Amateur salsa dancer – who are the future of excellent Salsa dancing and teaching in New Zealand.
It also gives the New Zealand Salsa Championships huge credibility and respect throughout the world of salsa! No other salsa competition has a referral as an example for Rules, on the World Latin Dance Cup website. Please excuse us if we are blowing our own trumpet here… but we are extremely proud and happy for the acknowledgement by the World Latin Dance Cup!

Zouk Improvers 4 week Course
This level is for those that have done the beginners Zouk level Learn new Zouk fundamentals. Take you Zouk up to the Intermediate Level with this brand new course! You will have need to have done Beginners Zouk level before joining.
What is Zouk? It's another fun Latin Dance that originates from Brazil with french influence, it's a relative of Lambada and is sometimes called Zouk Lambada.
