	NZ Salsa Congress & Queens Birthday weekend News: The Pre-party at Salsa Latina was an awesome success! over 150 dancers came to dance and watch the great show, which included Salsa Revolution, Salsa Latina, Latin Fire & Kevin & Chelsea, Check photos on our facebook page. All are which are all now preparing to head to the New Zealand Pacific Salsa Congress this weekend coming, we hope to see you there for the largest event in NZ. Note some classes have stopped from this weekend inc Tango & Upper Intermediate and Mondays classes next week are running, please check the timetable.

	NZ Pacific Salsa Congress - 3-5 June. 50+ WORKSHOPS, 30 +ARTISTS, 3 HUGE PARTIES. The NZ Pacific Salsa Congress is the biggest Latin Dance National/International Event in New Zealand. Join us "Salsa Latina" in Wellington. Reuben & Marcela are also teaching & performing with Robyn & Andrei. Zouk Course Open Level 4 week Course (all levels) • Ideal for anyone who has had some partner dancing experience or if you have done Zouk. • Absolute Beginners are also welcome, but note we will progress faster compared to a regular beginner course. We recommend that you have done Salsa to get you moving because of hand holds and turning techniques. • If you haven't tried Zouk before, or if you have done our previous Zouk courses you will learn something new as this is a longer course than previously done before. • Learn Zouk basics, style and technique. We will also be including Neo Zouk influences.
What is Zouk? It's another fun Latin Dance that originates from Brazil with french influence, it's a relative of Lambada and is sometimes called Zouk Lambada.

Bachata Improvers Level Once you have completed a Bachata beginners course. You may join this level. Also ideal for Int/Adv Bachata dancers. These are new bachata combos each week. You will learn all sorts of styles of Bachata, Dominican, Bachata Tango, Bachata Moderna & Traditional.
Bachata Styles? • Traditional Style Bachata is the most simple, great to start with, very easy to learn. • Dominican style typically has lots of footwork & free style moves. Dancers alternate between the close & open positions. • Bachata Moderna style is Tango flavoured Bachata plus has extra fundamentals to make it far more exciting. • Bachata Tango is the latest style that has Tango influence & Tango moves with new fundamentals & is popular in Italy & Spain & gaining popularity.

Salsa Class (Linear salsa On1) Salsa Fundamentals. This is the most important level you will ever learn, its the foundation to linear salsa. It's worth repeating this level no matter what level you are, Improver, Intermediate or Advanced you can still improve your foundation. It's highly recommended you have completed 8 weeks of beginners class before joining this level. Remember if you find our intermediate a struggle, do this level as well as intermediate to help. You will pick up more details second or third time round, no matter what level you are.
