Social Night - Totally Fun filled & Hot. Drink and dance the night away. Every Thursday night . Come down and have a look, a drink and have a dance! It's the most popular Salsa Night of the week. Anyone can come, this night is for everybody at all levels, dancers and non-dancers. This level is our highest to date, it's an Upper Intermediate & Advanced level. Learn the latest New moves and combos, footwork. Brand New Salsa combos. Can I join this level?: Join this level only when you have completed all the Salsa Latina's Intermediate levels. You also must be fully able to do any improver moves with ease. You should also be able to do a double spin comfortably. We wont hold back in this class

Learn Capoeira at Salsa Latina, Free 1st class & for all ages, male & females. Everyone is welcome, so bring some friends.

Capoeira is a unique art that combines martial arts, acrobatics and dance movements to the beat of traditional brazilians instruments.For all ages & is oriented atmosphere that promotes health and fitness for life. Capoeira is a Brazilian Art Form, which combines elements of dance, play and ritualistic fighting. It evolved from the struggle of African slaves against their oppressors and its history is deep with Warrior rituals from Central Africa. Capoeira is a celebration of life in the face of everyday struggle. It develops confidence, combined with a strong feeling of centre and balance. Capoeira's circular and evasive movements, combined with its rich tradition of music and song, place it in a unique position as an art, and always poses the question "is Capoeira a game, a fight or a dance"? Capoeira games require the grace and agility of a dancer, with the strength and skill of a warrior. Always central to the message of Capoeira is unity and bringing people together to keep continual flow regardless of the game and to find peace, joy and fulfillment in the game and in life.

Salsa Practice Night on Friday at Salsa Latina: This session is ideal to practice those moves you've learnt in classes and to practice with a partner. This is a great way to build your confidence & skills for social events & Salsa parties. Anyone is welcome to come no matter where you are from or what level you are.

Learn Zouk Lambada/Traditional: 4 week course Zouk Basics & Fundamentals Zouk footwork

Zouk Course Open Level 4 week Course (all levels) • Ideal for anyone who has had some partner dancing experience or if you have done Zouk. • Beginners also welcome, but note we will progress faster compared to a beginner Zouk course. Note there is no free 1st class in this Open Level • If you haven't tried Zouk before, or if you have done our previous Zouk courses you will learn something new. • Learn Zouk basics, style and technique. We will also be including Neo Zouk influences.
What is Zouk? It's another fun Latin Dance that originates from Brazil with french influence, it's a relative of Lambada and is sometimes called Zouk Lambada.

Salsa Class (Linear salsa On1) Salsa Fundamentals. This is the most important level you will ever learn, its the foundation to linear salsa. It's worth repeating this level no matter what level you are, Improver, Intermediate or Advanced you can still improve your foundation. It's highly recommended you have completed 8 weeks of beginners class before joining this level. Remember if you find our intermediate a struggle, do this level as well as intermediate to help. You will pick up more details second or third time round, no matter what level you are.

Roberto's Bio, born and raised in the island of Mauritius- his love for Salsa started when he studied and worked in the UK/ London. In 2002, he learnt a passion for Mambo/ NY On2 Salsa Style. Roberto had since taught, Choreographed, competed, perfomed, and Judged at various events in Mauritius, UK, Australia including Sydney Salsa Congress, Brisbane Latin Congress, Doudoule Salsa Camp, Bravo Latin Events.... Roberto in partnership are current Australian Salsa Champions 2010- On2 Pro Division.
Jenna's Bio: From a dance backgroud of Ballroom/ Latin American when she was young. It was at the Gold Coast, where she first had a taste of Salsa- Colombian style. Jenna has now been dancing professionally since mid 2008, teaming up with Roberto and winning the Queensland State Titles in 2008. 2009, 2010. Jennas hightlight this year in partnership with Roberto was winning the Australian Salsa Classic Championship On2 Division. In Feburary 2010 she formed an all girls group called Risque, and choreographed a routine that won them 1st Place in teams Division at the Australian Salsa Solo Championships.

Recent renovation & changes: Exterior Signage in progress, Exterior changed to Red. NEW Mirrors are now installed covering the wall in the main studio (17th Dec). We also recently moved one of the air conditioning units and redirectioned another on (30th Nov), what a difference in temperature! To date we have added: New Floor, Mirrors, Sofa, Chairs, Plants, Wall speaker mounts, regular & party lighting, 2 partition walls, Fans, Air Conditioning, shelving, Dance Shoe Display, Reception desk, security system & more. To Come: interior paint job, plastering & then there is 'Studio 2' to do, with mirrors, flooring, lighting & sound system.
