The New studios have some great new features compared to the previous studio, it will have 2 studios, both much larger than before. 3 Air conditioning units, 2 Toilets, kitchen & a shower. Also its easier to find the studio & better parking. Note: In the picture below, Salsa Latina has the whole top of this level. The main entrance is on the right hand side just off the street.
Renovation update: We have smashed walls down, ripped carpet out and its looking great so far. Okay to dance on at the moment but we wont have mirrors up but hope to have a brand new dance floor starting to go in this week! We're also adding a couple of small partition walls, so it will look different next week.

Parking & Amenities: Salsa Latina Studio is still located in the City Centre, Just on the edge where all street parking is free all day & we now have loads of cars parks now available onsite after 6pm, please use up to the first 14 parks onsite, 'at this stage'. Easy for people who drive, walk, bike or take the bus. Our location is also handy for those at CPIT, now only 1 block away.
Free bus "shuttle": Every 10 mins the shuttle goes through town and passes only 2 blocks away! The closest stop is on the corner of St Asaph & Madras, see maps below. More infomation on the shuttle & busses here >

Quake Recap: After a massive 7.2 Earth Quake hit Christchurch on the 4th of Sept & a series of aftershocks, Manchester courts building, which 'Salsa latina resided', will be demolished due to structural damage. We are very sad to see the old place go & we have suffered a massive loss to the business "Salsa Latina". But the good news is, we have found a better studio as above.

Social Dance Night Join us for a Hot Salsa Night at 'The Base Bar & Nightclub' - located in the heart of Sol Square in Christchurch. New Timing Salsa CD (2010) or Mp3 Set (2009) contains essential timing, rhythms & music for salsa dancers. it's for beginners to advanced levels. It contains counts so you can get used to stepping in time with salsa and give you not only music to practice to, but knowledge of how salsa music is constructed, so you can become a better dancer. Salsa Latina uses tracks in its classes, it will train your brain to stay in time. There is a total of 13 tracks and tempos ranging from slow to med paced songs and now includes a bonus cha cha percussion track.

Bonus Info - This is also a learning system, you will also be given a hidden link to this website that will give you information on how to use these tracks, this is to aid your learning on how the music is constructed and how to learn to dance in time and find that (on1) count.
