Take your dancing to a new level & join our Salsa team! With the New Zealand Salsa Representatives 2009-2010....
Train with some of the best salsa dancers in New Zealand to perform or to learn about how to perform and learn a salsa routine which will develop your salsa tremendously! Learn and have the oppertunity to perform and compete in Salsa competitions, Congresses and more, with Salsa Sabrosa. We are always on the look out for new dance partners male & female. Must be keen to take it a level further into couple competition & and possibly train to teach.

Level you will need to know some salsa, but not essential if you have done form of dance training in the past.
Benefits: • Become part of a salsa team that is social and fun to be in. • Get trained to a high standard - you will look great on the social dancer floor and performing. • Learn the tips and tricks, big moves 'arials' that we don't teach in our salsa classes. • Improve your fitness and confidence.

About the Auditioning: • We will be running auditions as we would run a salsa class but with a close watch. • A combo from a routine will be demonstrated and we may partner you with someone and swap partners. Note that this will be recorded on video for our reference. • Some of the current Salsa Sabrosa team will also be assisting and participating so you will learn fast. • Please be aware that you may learn 'performance moves' such as neck-drops, slides and lifts are for performing and are not meant to be used for social dancing.
Selection Process: Participants may be selected will be notified by phone or email... We also may hold more of these throughout the year if you don't make it in this time, keep up the practice because you can still get in. Determination to do well will be noticed.

What is Zouk? It's another fun Latin Dance that originates from Brazil with french influence, it's a relative of Lambada and is sometimes called Zouk Lambada.

We recommend that you do both private and group classes to feel the greatest benefit. In a private lesson we go through all little details that we can not attend to in group classes along with any bad habits you may pick up along the way. Every individual has their own special needs but when you are in a group class there is no way of giving as much personal attention as we would like to give, this is why we recommend private lessons as well as classes & social dancing.

Private Lesson Rates (includes studio hire) If you wish to have a private lesson outside of the studio please contact us regrding this. Depending one what you want, 30 mins can be enough to give you heaps to work on, its like a top up & also good if you miss a class or two. If you want to jump levels or want something more intensive we recommend 1 hour.

New Timing Salsa CD (2010) or Mp3 Set (2009) contains essential timing, rhythms & music for salsa dancers. it's for beginners to advanced levels. It contains counts so you can get used to stepping in time with salsa and give you not only music to practice to, but knowledge of how salsa music is constructed, so you can become a better dancer. Salsa Latina uses tracks in its classes, it will train your brain to stay in time. There is a total of 13 tracks and tempos ranging from slow to med paced songs and now includes a bonus cha cha percussion track.

Bonus Info - This is also a learning system, you will also be given a hidden link to this website that will give you information on how to use these tracks, this is to aid your learning on how the music is constructed and how to learn to dance in time and find that (on1) count.
