Social Night 8pm-12am- Join us for a Hot Salsa Night for the first time ever at The Twisted Hop - upstairs, down poplar Lane. Great venue with fantastic wooden floors, nice sized space upstairs with balcony and awesome sound system to dance all night to. Come down and have a look, a drink and have a dance! Anyone can come, this night is for everybody at all levels, dancers and non-dancers we have a free dance class to get you started...

Free Salsa Class with Yonatan & Matistliana - 8:30pm (45mins -1hr) Free Salsa Dance class for all levels. Great for beginners who want to try out Latin Dancing before joining a Salsa Course at our studio. Also good for any level to join in. Everyone welcome. No need to enrol, just turn up and join in. Then dance & drink the rest of the night away aftwerwards...

2 Special high level techniqe classes over 3 hours, for all levels. These are partner dancing workshops for males & females.

#1. Salsa Breaks & Freezes • Time: 2:30pm-4pm (1.5 hours) • Level: Open Level - All Salsa levels • Learn how to dip and freeze beautifully on the song with perfect unison with the melody!

#2. Salsa Technique • Time: 4pm-5:30pm (1.5 hours) • Level: Open Level - All Salsa levels • Upgrade your dance technique, leading, spinnig, and communication between partners to reach a no thinking fluent dance.

Prices - 1 Workshop $15 or 2 Workshops $30 (paid on the day) - 2 Workshop Special $25 (Pre-pay before 25th March) at Salsa Latina studio during salsa & cha class times. Note: Pay on the day, Cash & Cheque only & no concession cards.

Yonatan has been dancing for 5-6 years in LA, NY and Cuban style.He has given salsa workshops on techniques, style musicality, and instructing for the last three years.

Salseros from all around the New Zealand Christchurch, Dunedin, Westcoast, Blenheim, Nelson, Wellington, Wanganui & Auckland will combine this year and spend an awesome snowy winter weekend in Hanmer to move to the rythms of Salsa, Bachata, Merengue and Cha cha cha at the Hanmer Memorial Hall.
